Lee first attended a local country dance with his sisters in high school. He loved it so much that he started going every week and taking his friends. Although a lot has changed since then, he still loves to lead or follow a good 2-step and can always be found in the center of the floor when a good line dance comes on.
Lee found his true love in 2000 when he first saw west coast swing. Since then he has taught for Capital Country Dance Club, Women Steppin’ Out, and DC Rawhides’ Town & Country. He competed as a leader and follower in Strictlies and Jack & Jill’s as well as a leader in Rising Star. Currently, he is the head coach of the gender-bending, role-reversing swing team dcRolePlay and can’t be more proud. He also serves as contest and event staff for various swing events on the east coast.
